Narrative:

During climb out from runway 18R tpa, we could not contact tower or departure. 200 degree heading was assigned in SID (tpa 3) for runway 18R. Leveled at 6000 ft and turned on the autoplt. First officer attempted to contact approach on #2 radio, but kept getting cut out. Decided to select intercom to see if it was my radio and found I had a stuck microphone. Took a turn to avoid WX and told first officer to tell departure we were turning north. Departure gave us a heading and altitude to fly. During cruise, I found my hand microphone on the floor and picked it up. I hit it against the sidewall of the aircraft and 'unstuck' the microphone. The turn to avoid WX was for safety of flight, but was poorly coordinated with ATC due to radio problem.
