Narrative:
Traffic at 3 O'clock position on downwind reported at 2 O'clock position. Captain said he had it. I sat it at 3 O'clock position and said I was not sure if it was the correct traffic. We were cleared visual behind reported saab 340. We turned base and I said 'I'm not sure, so will keep looking.' saw traffic at 11 O'clock position on base. Approach control climbed us and turned us left. No TCASII RA, no real event. Came around and landed uneventfully. But traffic at our now 12 - 12:30 O'clock position on base was the saab we were to follow. Problem traffic originally reported at 2 O'clock when on downwind, but was really at 12:30 position. Other traffic at 3 O'clock was also a turboprop saab or a like aircraft.
