Narrative:
On landing roll a fire was noticed on the right side cowling. I picked up the crash phone to initiate an alert. The phone has a clicking noise and is then silent. I repeated my alert 3 times until the safety dispatcher was able to get through via cell phone to assure me the alert was heard. Suggest the use of a radio instead of cell phone for remote use.
