Narrative:
A passenger was denied alcohol because he appeared intoxicated. The passenger reeked of alcohol and was not speaking clearly. He was told that we were not going to serve him any alcohol and he proceeded to ask all the flight attendants on board for a beer. I served him tomato juice, his second choice of beverage. The passenger requested a written explanation as to why we weren't serving him. I wrote that 'our airline's policy is to deny serving alcohol to passenger that appear intoxicated.' callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the passenger did not appear to be intoxicated while boarding, and that he had been served only 1 beer. After being denied drinks, he asked all the flight attendants for their names and file numbers so he could write a complaint letter to the airline.
