Narrative:
Departing orl at about XA45 local time using the mccoy 6 departure, we requested al turn after takeoff to avoid WX. We were told we could turn left to avoid the WX. The controller then asked us to turn right to intercept the mccoy 6 departure. We did turn right to intercept, but we had to turn more to the right to avoid the WX. The controller then asked us to turn left to intercept. There was no traffic conflict that we were told of.
