Narrative:
While completing rollout on runway 10 in gdl, mexico, I slowed and stopped the aircraft at the intersecting runway of 2. Originally we were cleared to the ramp via taxiway B. We discovered that since we had already stopped that the ramp was accessible via runway 2, taxiway a, then ramp. We asked if we could taxi via runway 2, taxiway a, ramp. Tower told us to go to ground. We asked ground control. They approved the taxi. About 2 hours later, at the hotel, we (the flight crew) were asked to make a statement as to why we taxied as we did. We did not realize there was a problem. I feel there was a miscom somewhere. My first officer had just had a still-born child 3 days prior. This may have contributed to the situation. His attention was not what it should have been.

Title: A B737 PIC TAXIES TO THE RAMP BY A RTE THAT WAS LATER CONTESTED BY THE GND CTLR AT MMGL, FO.
Narrative: WHILE COMPLETING ROLLOUT ON RWY 10 IN GDL, MEXICO, I SLOWED AND STOPPED THE ACFT AT THE INTERSECTING RWY OF 2. ORIGINALLY WE WERE CLRED TO THE RAMP VIA TXWY B. WE DISCOVERED THAT SINCE WE HAD ALREADY STOPPED THAT THE RAMP WAS ACCESSIBLE VIA RWY 2, TXWY A, THEN RAMP. WE ASKED IF WE COULD TAXI VIA RWY 2, TXWY A, RAMP. TWR TOLD US TO GO TO GND. WE ASKED GND CTL. THEY APPROVED THE TAXI. ABOUT 2 HRS LATER, AT THE HOTEL, WE (THE FLC) WERE ASKED TO MAKE A STATEMENT AS TO WHY WE TAXIED AS WE DID. WE DID NOT REALIZE THERE WAS A PROB. I FEEL THERE WAS A MISCOM SOMEWHERE. MY FO HAD JUST HAD A STILL-BORN CHILD 3 DAYS PRIOR. THIS MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE SIT. HIS ATTN WAS NOT WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
