Narrative:
MSL runway 18L. Assigned cleared on course to MSL (anb VOR), approximately 300 degree heading. Then assigned present heading, and subsequently cleared to FL230, passing through FL220, cleared direct sqs. I did not hear the FL220 restr and entered direct sqs and implemented a turn to the left. Center immediately called to verify heading, and directed a turn back to 300 degrees. In the future, I will pay closer attention to radio calls.
