Narrative:
Aircraft was climbing on autoplt to assigned altitude of 29000 ft with altitude preselect set for 29000 ft. I was alone in aircraft. I heard altitude alerter ding and say I was at 29400 ft and climbing. As I pushed over ZOB asked my altitude. I told him 29400 ft and correcting. There was no further comment from center other than to maintain 29000 ft. The problem was my lack of attention and trust in the autoplt. I must have bumped the preselect off, or not set it as I thought. I know better but just had a lack of attention at altitude leveloff.
