Narrative:

The captain I was flying with took off from el paso to lax. As he rotated for takeoff, we experienced a stick shaker and returned for an immediate landing, which resulted in the captain exceeding the tip tank maximum landing weight by 160 pounds and the maximum landing weight by 400 pounds. The captain did not discuss that we made an overweight landing, and I did not think of it. I knew maintenance did an inspection and I assumed that it was good to go.
