Narrative:
Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that problem started when a couple came running on at the last min before the door had closed. She was the daughter of a deceased famous person and thought that gave her celebrity status and they should be treated accordingly. She was traveling with her husband. The airline had given their first class seats away, because they weren't there at the cutoff time. They were boiling mad and dropped their luggage on the first class galley floor and told the crew to deal with it. After taxiing out to get into the takeoff queue, the airport shut down due to extreme thunderstorms. The new york area airports were all shut down. The flight had an 8 hour delay sitting in the taxi queue. The woman got extremely upset that they wouldn't let her off to go to jfk and get on another lax flight. The reporter told them that it wouldn't do them any good, as all the new york area airports were shut down. One passenger told the reporter that the woman had ripped the first class closet door off, trying to get to her bags, so she could get off the plane. The copilot came back fuming, because they couldn't take off with the closet door missing, allowing the luggage to come loose, and told them the flight would have to leave the takeoff queue to go back to the gate to get the door fixed. At the gate, the captain came back and told the couple that they caused another delay. The woman persisted in harassing the crew to such an extent that the airline made a decision to ban them from their airline for a lifetime.

Narrative: CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT PROB STARTED WHEN A COUPLE CAME RUNNING ON AT THE LAST MIN BEFORE THE DOOR HAD CLOSED. AFTER TAXIING OUT TO GET INTO THE TKOF QUEUE, THE ARPT SHUT DOWN DUE TO EXTREME TSTMS. THE NEW YORK AREA ARPTS WERE ALL SHUT DOWN. THE FLT HAD AN 8 HR DELAY SITTING IN THE TAXI QUEUE. THE WOMAN GOT EXTREMELY UPSET THAT THEY WOULDN'T LET HER OFF TO GO TO JFK AND GET ON ANOTHER LAX FLT. THE RPTR TOLD THEM THAT IT WOULDN'T DO THEM ANY GOOD, AS ALL THE NEW YORK AREA ARPTS WERE SHUT DOWN. ONE PAX TOLD THE RPTR THAT THE WOMAN HAD RIPPED THE FIRST CLASS CLOSET DOOR OFF, TRYING TO GET TO HER BAGS, SO SHE COULD GET OFF THE PLANE. THE COPLT CAME BACK FUMING, BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T TAKE OFF WITH THE CLOSET DOOR MISSING, ALLOWING THE LUGGAGE TO COME LOOSE, AND TOLD THEM THE FLT WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE TKOF QUEUE TO GO BACK TO THE GATE TO GET THE DOOR FIXED. AT THE GATE, THE CAPT CAME BACK AND TOLD THE COUPLE THAT THEY CAUSED ANOTHER DELAY. THE WOMAN PERSISTED IN HARASSING THE CREW TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT THE AIRLINE MADE A DECISION TO BAN THEM FROM THEIR AIRLINE FOR A LIFETIME.
