Narrative:
While executing full stop lndgs in the traffic pattern, my student and I made a landing while the aircraft landing in front of us was taxiing on the turnoff, clear of the runway. After touching down, the aircraft which had landed in front of us informed us that he was still on the active runway, crossing the hold short lines at the time of our touchdown. I felt he was clear of the hold short lines or I would not have allowed my student to touch down. A go around could have been done to insure the safety of all involved and this is what I will do faced with a similar circumstance, to avoid any confrontation or incursions.
