Narrative:
At houston hobby we were told to taxi to runway 12L. The captain looked at the airport diagram to see where taxiway Z was, and started to taxi. Upon reaching runway 12L I called the tower and told them we were ready on runway 12L. The tower cleared us for takeoff. The captain taxied across runway 12L and was heading to runway 12R. I told him he crossed our runway, and he stopped the plane before we reached the other runway. Better pilot briefing may have prevented this. Supplemental information from acn 482097: I stopped the aircraft. I may have been actually on runway 17. I held there and tower said hold position. This was a case of not listening closely to the taxi clearance and assuming that I was assigned the long runway.

Narrative: AT HOUSTON HOBBY WE WERE TOLD TO TAXI TO RWY 12L. THE CAPT LOOKED AT THE ARPT DIAGRAM TO SEE WHERE TXWY Z WAS, AND STARTED TO TAXI. UPON REACHING RWY 12L I CALLED THE TWR AND TOLD THEM WE WERE READY ON RWY 12L. THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF. THE CAPT TAXIED ACROSS RWY 12L AND WAS HEADING TO RWY 12R. I TOLD HIM HE CROSSED OUR RWY, AND HE STOPPED THE PLANE BEFORE WE REACHED THE OTHER RWY. BETTER PLT BRIEFING MAY HAVE PREVENTED THIS. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 482097: I STOPPED THE ACFT. I MAY HAVE BEEN ACTUALLY ON RWY 17. I HELD THERE AND TWR SAID HOLD POS. THIS WAS A CASE OF NOT LISTENING CLOSELY TO THE TAXI CLRNC AND ASSUMING THAT I WAS ASSIGNED THE LONG RWY.
