Narrative:
I smelled an electrical burning smell in the aft galley. After other flight attendants had said they smelled it around first class and mid aircraft. The smell got stronger and as I was looking toward first class, I saw a haze that appeared to be light smoke. Flight attendant #2 was on the interphone with the captain and I picked up the phone and said I saw the smoke. The captain reported to the passenger that we would be returning to san juan. No evacuate/evacuation was necessary. The captain advised the flight attendants to have extinguishers ready. We landed without incident. The flight was canceled. Supplemental information from acn 483374: we had an air abort for strong electrical fumes in the cabin and cockpit. We downloaded electrical demand and returned to sju. An emergency was declared. Emergency equipment was standing by for the overweight landing. We had a normal approach and landing. The passenger offloaded at the gate. Supplemental information from acn 483397: the odor was gone when we landed. Mechanics found no reason for odor.
