Narrative:
Approach terminated radar service and approved frequency change. When I spotted airport during GPS-a approach, I radioed flight plan cancellation, but got no response. I think altitude was too low for communication. I then forgot to close IFR flight plan by phone, after arrival, until 2.5 hours later. I guess my brain was telling me I canceled since I did broadcast a cancellation, but got no response. I will try to use some reminder system in the future. I very seldom fly into uncontrolled airports.
