Narrative:
Between XA00-XD00, a line of WX built between wichita, ks, kansas city, and chicago forcing most of the traffic south through sectors 02 (wichita hi), 27 (tulsa hi), and 97 (chamute super hi). Traffic management initiatives were non existent or ineffective. These sectors were inundated with overload numbers of traffic. Aircraft were not routed south of this area. (All the traffic wanted to go just far enough to miss the WX, but when you have to vector climb or descend traffic, that do not want to do that) air traffic controllers were working sectors that were unsafe for 3-4 hours at a time without adequate relief. All sector bays were completely full of flight progress strips, with no room for more. An unsafe situation existed, too many airplanes, not enough help. Not enough effective flow control.
