Narrative:
EICAS message left generator off displayed. Left generator off light illuminated. Performed emergency/abnormal procedure in cockpit operating manual page 2.24.11. Generator switch reset did not correct condition. APU was started and available. Dispatch and maintenance were notified through company and all parties agreed to continue to detroit. Both APU and right engine generator worked. All busses were pwred.

Narrative: EICAS MESSAGE LEFT GENERATOR OFF DISPLAYED. L GENERATOR OFF LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PERFORMED EMER/ABNORMAL PROC IN COCKPIT OPERATING MANUAL PAGE 2.24.11.
