Narrative:
At approximately XA30 the first class passenger in yh came into the first class galley, saying he thought the power ports were overheating. We came out into the cabin and you could smell electrical burning. Went into the cockpit and there was quite a bit of smoke. Both the captain and first officer had their demand masks and goggles on. The captain held up his right hand and I knew he could not talk at the moment. We all (flight attendants) waited to hear from the cockpit. All flight attendants reassured the passenger and started to put things away. The captain made a PA saying an air conditioning pack had overheated causing the smoky haze and electrical smell. His next PA told us that we were landing in goose bay, labrador. Captain X said the landing should be normal, but in case it was not, told us what his command for evacuate/evacuation would be. The landing was normal. I praise the captain X and copilot Y. They were both very calm and reassuring. The flight attendants were also calm and efficient and tactful with the passenger. I was proud to be part of such a team.
