Narrative:

Cleared to hover taxi to the grass area next to the taxiway. I misunderstood and hover taxied to the grass area across the taxiway rather than the grass area on the near side of the taxiway. No other traffic was on the taxiway at the time.

Title: TXWY INCURSION BY HELI WHEN CLRNC WAS CONFUSED.

Narrative: CLRED TO HOVER TAXI TO THE GRASS AREA NEXT TO THE TXWY. I MISUNDERSTOOD AND HOVER TAXIED TO THE GRASS AREA ACROSS THE TXWY RATHER THAN THE GRASS AREA ON THE NEAR SIDE OF THE TXWY. NO OTHER TFC WAS ON THE TXWY AT THE TIME.
