Narrative:
We were told to taxi to runway 27L via taxiway delta and kilo to hold short of runway 35. We were on delta approaching kilo which is an immediate stop on kilo to hold short of runway 35. We held short, but realized that the red runway sign for 35-17 was barely visible from the turn off of delta onto kilo, and was definitely a possible hazard due to not seeing the sign in time. I would suggest putting another red runway sign on the other side of kilo to make this intersection safer.
