Narrative:
While I was in the cockpit discussing write-ups with the crew, flight attendant #5 informed me the passenger in xb demanded to go to the cockpit. Flight attendant #5 explained why he couldn't and relayed situation to me and crew. While beginning descent, the same passenger went to business class lavatory and, for the second time, began smoking. After questioning the passenger, he informed me he does it all the time and will continue to do so. He stated he sits on the floor and blows smoke into the toilet so not to set off alarm. The passenger had had several alcoholic beverages. Local police and management met the flight. The passenger became belligerent with me and hostile. The auths spoke with him very briefly and let him leave. Nowhere in my reporting was the 'demanding to go to cockpit' acknowledged.
