Narrative:
Coming in from the north atlantic eastbound we were rerouted. Reclred to stl via 'north american route' (nar) 464A. We typed this in the FMC and then got the commercial pages out to check it. It took us to intersection, montreal, and that matched what the FMC told us. The captain, who was an experienced international captain, and I both forgot about the 'non common' routes farther back in the commercial chart's narrative pages. I remembered being shown them in training months ago when the other first officer reminded us of them. This is after ATC asked us where we were going after montreal. No conflict occurred. My suggestion is to put a 'thence' at the end of the common portion.
