Narrative:
On a VFR from dvt to lvk at approximately XA30 I landed at apple valley airport for fuel. I taxied to the fueling area to add fuel to my aircraft from the 100LL fuel dispenser. After fueling my aircraft, I pushed back away from the 100LL fuel dispenser, got into my airplane, started the engine and started to taxi from the fueling area to runway 18 for departure to lvk. At this time (about XB00) I collided with the jet a fuel dispenser, damaging the aircraft propeller and engine. My aircraft is a tailwheel low wing type airplane with very limited forward visibility when maneuvering or taxiing on the ground. I feel that the very low position and location to the ground of this jet a fuel dispenser and no signs or prominent markings and no taxiway ctrlines marking in this area was a contributing factor to this incident and presents a hazard to aircraft maneuvering or taxiing in this fueling area. I suggest better identify or prominent marking of the jet a fuel dispenser area and centerline taxi marking in this area.

Title: DUE TO ACFT'S POOR FORWARD VISIBILITY AND MINIMAL ARPT SIGNAGE, PLT TAXIED INTO FUEL DISPENSER, DAMAGING ACFT.
Narrative: ON A VFR FROM DVT TO LVK AT APPROX XA30 I LANDED AT APPLE VALLEY ARPT FOR FUEL. I TAXIED TO THE FUELING AREA TO ADD FUEL TO MY ACFT FROM THE 100LL FUEL DISPENSER. AFTER FUELING MY ACFT, I PUSHED BACK AWAY FROM THE 100LL FUEL DISPENSER, GOT INTO MY AIRPLANE, STARTED THE ENG AND STARTED TO TAXI FROM THE FUELING AREA TO RWY 18 FOR DEP TO LVK. AT THIS TIME (ABOUT XB00) I COLLIDED WITH THE JET A FUEL DISPENSER, DAMAGING THE ACFT PROP AND ENG. MY ACFT IS A TAILWHEEL LOW WING TYPE AIRPLANE WITH VERY LIMITED FORWARD VISIBILITY WHEN MANEUVERING OR TAXIING ON THE GND. I FEEL THAT THE VERY LOW POS AND LOCATION TO THE GND OF THIS JET A FUEL DISPENSER AND NO SIGNS OR PROMINENT MARKINGS AND NO TXWY CTRLINES MARKING IN THIS AREA WAS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THIS INCIDENT AND PRESENTS A HAZARD TO ACFT MANEUVERING OR TAXIING IN THIS FUELING AREA. I SUGGEST BETTER IDENT OR PROMINENT MARKING OF THE JET A FUEL DISPENSER AREA AND CTRLINE TAXI MARKING IN THIS AREA.
