ZJX very busy. We were given 'cross lamma intersection on the bitho arrival at 12000 ft MSL' very late due to crossing traffic. Unable to make this crossing due to the very late reception of this clearance from ATC. Used maximum available descent rate. Unable to communicate late crossing to ATC due to heavy communication volume.
