Narrative:
Departure cleared other aircraft to descend below us after that aircraft reported us in sight with the comment that they would give ATC a good descent rate. Then ATC cleared us to climb after we reported other aircraft in sight. I responded to TCASII RA, disconnected autoplt and increased climb rate to avoid other aircraft. ATC mentioned that aircraft merged on her screen.

Title: NMAC BTWN A B767 CLBING OUT AND A DSNDING JETSTREAM WITH EACH OTHER IN SIGHT AND INSTRUCTED BY APCH CTLR TO MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION.
Narrative: DEP CLRED OTHER ACFT TO DSND BELOW US AFTER THAT ACFT RPTED US IN SIGHT WITH THE COMMENT THAT THEY WOULD GIVE ATC A GOOD DSCNT RATE. THEN ATC CLRED US TO CLB AFTER WE RPTED OTHER ACFT IN SIGHT. I RESPONDED TO TCASII RA, DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT AND INCREASED CLB RATE TO AVOID OTHER ACFT. ATC MENTIONED THAT ACFT MERGED ON HER SCREEN.
