Narrative:

I was working local east during a heavy mix of arrs and departures. Landing runway 23 and departing a crossing runway 18L. Issuing many runway xings. I failed to notice that I had lost wake turbulence separation with the small BE40 behind the large DHC8. The cabin attendant coordinator pointed this out to me approximately 5 mins later. I informed the tower supervisor of the situation, who then informed me that he had both aircraft in sight, which doesn't mean anything. I feel that the tower team concept failed in this case. Someone should have said something earlier and helped prevent the loss of separation.
