Narrative:
2 passenger were drunk and after I refused to serve them more liquor, they were disruptive and loud. Then they stole 2 beers from the beverage cart. Police met our flight. They and the captain talked sternly to the passenger. (I declined to file charges.) callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that the reason the crew had the captain call for police was the theft of the liquor off the beverage cart. One of the men was a travel agent and probably on a free ticket. The captain strongly recommended that she not file charges, so she complied. They felt that the police showing up to meet the flight would sufficiently scare the men, so they wouldn't do it again. They discussed this with the police on the jet way before any of the passenger got off.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: 2 INTOXICATED MEN STOLE LIQUOR FROM CART AFTER CABIN ATTENDANT REFUSED TO SERVE THEM. CAPT CALLED FOR POLICE TO MEET FLT WHO DETAINED PAX.
Narrative: 2 PAX WERE DRUNK AND AFTER I REFUSED TO SERVE THEM MORE LIQUOR, THEY WERE DISRUPTIVE AND LOUD. THEN THEY STOLE 2 BEERS FROM THE BEVERAGE CART. POLICE MET OUR FLT. THEY AND THE CAPT TALKED STERNLY TO THE PAX. (I DECLINED TO FILE CHARGES.) CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT THE REASON THE CREW HAD THE CAPT CALL FOR POLICE WAS THE THEFT OF THE LIQUOR OFF THE BEVERAGE CART. ONE OF THE MEN WAS A TRAVEL AGENT AND PROBABLY ON A FREE TICKET. THE CAPT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT SHE NOT FILE CHARGES, SO SHE COMPLIED. THEY FELT THAT THE POLICE SHOWING UP TO MEET THE FLT WOULD SUFFICIENTLY SCARE THE MEN, SO THEY WOULDN'T DO IT AGAIN. THEY DISCUSSED THIS WITH THE POLICE ON THE JET WAY BEFORE ANY OF THE PAX GOT OFF.
