Narrative:
During descent through FL180, altimeter was set to 30.35 vice 29.35. Controller changed assigned altitude to 5000 ft (vice 6000 ft) and advised correct altimeter setting. The captain had put 29.35 in standby altimeter when he read the ATIS. I questioned the setting because it was lower than expected. He advised the correct setting was 30.35. I did not resolve discrepancy because I became distraction with the following: rapid descent (remained at altitude due to WX). Changing planned runway for arrival. Decision to abort approach due to buildups moving over the field. Copy and plan for holding to await WX to clear out. Moderate and turbulence.

Title: CL65 CREW HAD ALT OVERSHOOT IN CMH CLASS E AIRSPACE.
Narrative: DURING DSCNT THROUGH FL180, ALTIMETER WAS SET TO 30.35 VICE 29.35. CTLR CHANGED ASSIGNED ALT TO 5000 FT (VICE 6000 FT) AND ADVISED CORRECT ALTIMETER SETTING. THE CAPT HAD PUT 29.35 IN STANDBY ALTIMETER WHEN HE READ THE ATIS. I QUESTIONED THE SETTING BECAUSE IT WAS LOWER THAN EXPECTED. HE ADVISED THE CORRECT SETTING WAS 30.35. I DID NOT RESOLVE DISCREPANCY BECAUSE I BECAME DISTR WITH THE FOLLOWING: RAPID DSCNT (REMAINED AT ALT DUE TO WX). CHANGING PLANNED RWY FOR ARR. DECISION TO ABORT APCH DUE TO BUILDUPS MOVING OVER THE FIELD. COPY AND PLAN FOR HOLDING TO AWAIT WX TO CLR OUT. MODERATE AND TURB.
