Narrative:

After a thorough preflight, the aircraft was in the loading phase on the west imperial cargo ramp. Normal aircraft shaking and loading noises were noted until the loading completed at XA35. Noted was a cargo B747 in the loading phase parked close on the right side of our aircraft. Normal pushback and flight to dayton. On postflt, a hole was discovered near the right wingtip leading edge. Underneath the wing, by the hole was a long scrape with yellow paint, indicating it was probably struck by a cargo loader. Recommend greater awareness by ground personnel, and a safety program that provides ground handlers a way to admit to mistakes or mishaps with aircraft, thus preventing crews being unaware of damage.

Narrative: AFTER A THOROUGH PREFLT, THE ACFT WAS IN THE LOADING PHASE ON THE W IMPERIAL CARGO RAMP. NORMAL ACFT SHAKING AND LOADING NOISES WERE NOTED UNTIL THE LOADING COMPLETED AT XA35. NOTED WAS A CARGO B747 IN THE LOADING PHASE PARKED CLOSE ON THE R SIDE OF OUR ACFT. NORMAL PUSHBACK AND FLT TO DAYTON. ON POSTFLT, A HOLE WAS DISCOVERED NEAR THE R WINGTIP LEADING EDGE.
