Narrative:

While on a 15 min turnaround in nashville, the captain went inside to get paperwork while I was cleaning out the airplane. All passenger from previous flight were off and the new passenger had not been boarded. A gate agent came out and gave me part of the paperwork and informed me an FAA safety inspector was upstairs and was going to ride to lit with us. He wanted to know when he could come down. I told her to wait until I informed the captain. I was at the top of the aircraft stairs, she was at the bottom. I turned around and began cleaning trash out of the cockpit, when I heard a loud thump, felt the plane shake, and heard a yell (this was a few moments after I began cleaning the cockpit). I looked out the door and saw the gate agent on the ground next to the bottom of the door. As she got up she said 'help me,' and there was a large amount of blood coming from a wound above her left eye. Other ground personnel came to help and we took her to the side of the terminal. We sat her down, got paper towels to put on the wound, and called an ambulance and the airport medics. She remained conscious the entire time, but a little dazed. The medics came within 2 mins and looked after her until the ambulance came. My captain notified our company about the incident right after it happened.
