Narrative:
After takeoff on runway 31, the aircraft started vibrating and rolled into a 45 degree bank to the left. We were 400 ft AGL. We lost 2 ft of our propeller and 3 second later the engine! The power-off landing occurred on the taxiway in the opposite direction. The outside air temperature was around 5 degrees F. And I discovered the broke propeller as soon as the engine stopped. We were lucky that we did not lose the engine!

Title: A C172 ON TKOF AT 400 FT ACFT ROLLED INTO A 45 DEG BANK WITH SEVERE VIBRATION CAUSED BY PROP BLADE SEPARATION.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF ON RWY 31, THE ACFT STARTED VIBRATING AND ROLLED INTO A 45 DEG BANK TO THE L. WE WERE 400 FT AGL. WE LOST 2 FT OF OUR PROP AND 3 SEC LATER THE ENG! THE PWR-OFF LNDG OCCURRED ON THE TXWY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMP WAS AROUND 5 DEGS F. AND I DISCOVERED THE BROKE PROP AS SOON AS THE ENG STOPPED. WE WERE LUCKY THAT WE DID NOT LOSE THE ENG!
