Narrative:
Myself and first officer both thought we had been cleared for takeoff. We started takeoff roll, tower told us to stop. Tower said we were only cleared into position and hold. At later time, tower told us not to worry about the situation.

Narrative: MYSELF AND FO BOTH THOUGHT WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF. WE STARTED TKOF ROLL, TWR TOLD US TO STOP. TWR SAID WE WERE ONLY CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD. AT LATER TIME, TWR TOLD US NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE SIT.
