Narrative:
Flying MD80 aircraft -- non GPS, non EFIS -- south of cleveland, cleared direct to etg VOR. Winds were moving from r-hand tailwind quadrant to l-hand tailwind quadrant at approximately 120-130 KTS. When 20-30 NM west of etg VOR, ZNY advised us that we were 4-5 NM north of course. Turned right approximately 40-50 degrees to get back on radial. No conflict with traffic occurred.
