Narrative:
On takeoff at fll, just after liftoff, crew heard 2 loud bangs from right side of aircraft. Aircraft performance and a check of the engine gauges confirmed a failure of the #2 engine. Crew followed standard training procedures and returned for a landing at fll. An emergency was declared with ATC. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said that the failure was found to have been caused by the failure of turbine blades in the J58D engine.
