Narrative:
Told to fly 260 degrees after departure. When handed off to departure control, and reminded of the heading, I turned immediately and the resulting turn occurred only 20 ft late (as per departure procedure, you can't turn until 1700 ft MSL).

Title: ON DEP A D328 CREW DELAYED TURNING TO ASSIGNED HDG.
Narrative: TOLD TO FLY 260 DEGS AFTER DEP. WHEN HANDED OFF TO DEP CTL, AND REMINDED OF THE HDG, I TURNED IMMEDIATELY AND THE RESULTING TURN OCCURRED ONLY 20 FT LATE (AS PER DEP PROC, YOU CAN'T TURN UNTIL 1700 FT MSL).
