Narrative:
Departed runway 22 at ZZZ. Upon positive rate and 'gear up' call, the first officer (PNF) selected the gear handle up. The gear remained down and locked. A master warning activated with a 'gear disagree' message. In addition, two caution msgs accompanied the failure. A 'park brake sov fail' message and an 'antiskid inbd fail' message. The QRH was completed, clearing the two caution msgs: however, the gear remained down and locked. The aircraft returned to the field and landed uneventfully. Upon maintenance arrival, two fault codes were showing on the maintenance computer: 1) nose gear selector valve failure, and 2) gear selector failure. The nose gear selector valve had failed and been replaced on 12/tue/00, previously. The aircraft had also air returned. In addition, this is my second report this week. This aircraft was xyz and on 01/mon/01, I had the identical problem on aircraft XXX. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated this airplane had two previous reports of unable to retract the landing gear with the selector handle in the up position. The reporter said on one incident he was involved and the fix was replacement of the nose gear selector valve. The reporter stated this aircraft had a return for the same problem with another crew, but is unaware of the fix, or the component replaced. The reporter said the latest problem was corrected with a landing gear selector handle and solenoid assembly.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A CL65 ON TKOF AT 200 FT AGL DIVERTS DUE TO UNABLE TO RETRACT THE LNDG GEAR WITH THE SELECTOR, OR HANDLE UP IN THE RETRACT POS CAUSED BY FAILURE OF THE RETRACT HANDLE SOLENOID MECHANISM.
Narrative: DEPARTED RWY 22 AT ZZZ. UPON POSITIVE RATE AND 'GEAR UP' CALL, THE FO (PNF) SELECTED THE GEAR HANDLE UP. THE GEAR REMAINED DOWN AND LOCKED. A MASTER WARNING ACTIVATED WITH A 'GEAR DISAGREE' MSG. IN ADDITION, TWO CAUTION MSGS ACCOMPANIED THE FAILURE. A 'PARK BRAKE SOV FAIL' MSG AND AN 'ANTISKID INBD FAIL' MSG. THE QRH WAS COMPLETED, CLRING THE TWO CAUTION MSGS: HOWEVER, THE GEAR REMAINED DOWN AND LOCKED. THE ACFT RETURNED TO THE FIELD AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. UPON MAINT ARR, TWO FAULT CODES WERE SHOWING ON THE MAINT COMPUTER: 1) NOSE GEAR SELECTOR VALVE FAILURE, AND 2) GEAR SELECTOR FAILURE. THE NOSE GEAR SELECTOR VALVE HAD FAILED AND BEEN REPLACED ON 12/TUE/00, PREVIOUSLY. THE ACFT HAD ALSO AIR RETURNED. IN ADDITION, THIS IS MY SEC RPT THIS WEEK. THIS ACFT WAS XYZ AND ON 01/MON/01, I HAD THE IDENTICAL PROB ON ACFT XXX. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THIS AIRPLANE HAD TWO PREVIOUS RPTS OF UNABLE TO RETRACT THE LNDG GEAR WITH THE SELECTOR HANDLE IN THE UP POS. THE RPTR SAID ON ONE INCIDENT HE WAS INVOLVED AND THE FIX WAS REPLACEMENT OF THE NOSE GEAR SELECTOR VALVE. THE RPTR STATED THIS ACFT HAD A RETURN FOR THE SAME PROB WITH ANOTHER CREW, BUT IS UNAWARE OF THE FIX, OR THE COMPONENT REPLACED. THE RPTR SAID THE LATEST PROB WAS CORRECTED WITH A LNDG GEAR SELECTOR HANDLE AND SOLENOID ASSEMBLY.
