Narrative:

Controller said taxi to runway 7 (only one runway 7/25). It sounded like he said taxi down runway 7. Also, taxi lights (blue) were much too bright and washed out the white runway identify lights. At the time I got on runway and saw a scheduled carrier on 5 mi final. Called tower, no response in reasonable number of seconds, so I taxied down the runway and cleared. Tower called for the aircraft to go around.

Title: AN LTT CREW MISINTERPED TAXI CLRNC AND TAXIED DOWN THE RWY INSTEAD OF HOLDING SHORT AT FMS, AR.

Narrative: CTLR SAID TAXI TO RWY 7 (ONLY ONE RWY 7/25). IT SOUNDED LIKE HE SAID TAXI DOWN RWY 7. ALSO, TAXI LIGHTS (BLUE) WERE MUCH TOO BRIGHT AND WASHED OUT THE WHITE RWY IDENT LIGHTS. AT THE TIME I GOT ON RWY AND SAW A SCHEDULED CARRIER ON 5 MI FINAL. CALLED TWR, NO RESPONSE IN REASONABLE NUMBER OF SECONDS, SO I TAXIED DOWN THE RWY AND CLRED. TWR CALLED FOR THE ACFT TO GO AROUND.
