Narrative:
Problem arose by twice being vectored for final approach course intercept inside bahrr for CAT ii ILS approach to runway 8L in atl resulting in 2 missed approach procedures to be executed. Short finals and a rush to fill hole in approach sequence caused aircraft (automation) overtasking and aircraft was in a fully coupled situation not able to complete approach sequence safely. FAA jump seat/examiner not impressed initially, but procedures were verified during corrective simulator jan/xa/01 again with FAA present.

Narrative: PROB AROSE BY TWICE BEING VECTORED FOR FINAL APCH COURSE INTERCEPT INSIDE BAHRR FOR CAT II ILS APCH TO RWY 8L IN ATL RESULTING IN 2 MISSED APCH PROCS TO BE EXECUTED. SHORT FINALS AND A RUSH TO FILL HOLE IN APCH SEQUENCE CAUSED ACFT (AUTOMATION) OVERTASKING AND ACFT WAS IN A FULLY COUPLED SIT NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE APCH SEQUENCE SAFELY. FAA JUMP SEAT/EXAMINER NOT IMPRESSED INITIALLY, BUT PROCS WERE VERIFIED DURING CORRECTIVE SIMULATOR JAN/XA/01 AGAIN WITH FAA PRESENT.
