Narrative:
Being vectored to join arrival into pit, noted intruder on TCASII 500 ft above, descending. We were to slow to 210 KTS, then descend to 6000 ft. RA commanded descent, we complied. Controller issued 30 degree left turn and expedite descent to 6000 ft. Never saw traffic.
