Narrative:

Approaching end of sterile period, aft flight attendant came to cockpit and alerted us to a cable or wire of some kind streaming from left wingtip. 2 cockpit crew members looked at it, and confirmed approximately 20 ft of wire/cable streaming aft of left wing, approximately 10 ft inboard from wingtip. Decision was made to continue, due to benign location, and all internal aircraft and engine indications normal. Continued to monitor fuel/hydraulic quantities throughout flight to dfw. Over london, passed information to dispatch via gatwick operations.
