Narrative:
On feb/xa/01 while on departure of a repos ferry flight, our crew had the #1 generator fail. The captain was flying and handed control of aircraft to me (first officer). At that time it was discovered that our company operating manual was not on board. The captain contacted dispatch via radio and worked the procedure. We were told to continue on to destination and remain in radio contact if needed further assistance. At destination airport, the captain contacted the director of operations who approved us to continue on without the company operating manual as long as we could stay within radio contact (through commercial radio) with the company, should an event occur that we needed to run a procedure from the company operating manual. After reviewing our route, it was determined we would be within an area that radio contact could be established and maintained with our company if needed. We continued the flight uneventfully and returned to a base where the company operating manual could be replaced.
