Narrative:
On departure from bwi, assigned vector 230 degrees, as heard by both pilots. We each put '230' in heading bug, and first officer read back 230 degrees. Controller came back after 1 min on heading and said we were assigned 330 degrees, and that he had a traffic alert/conflict with a B757.
