Narrative:
Unable to pressurize on climb. On climb out we received cabin pressure control channel 1 message. Several mins later, we received cabin pressure control channel 2 message, followed by cabin pressure control channel message. We followed checklist procedures and tried to apply manual pressurization procedures. The cabin continued to climb about 850 FPM. We leveled the aircraft at 9000 ft. Contacted dal operations and dispatch and were instructed to return to dal. We declared an emergency and slowly descended for approach and landing. A normal landing at dal was made with a landing weight of about 72000 pounds.
