Narrative:
Level at FL290, control cleared us to FL310. We initiated climb. After initial clearance to FL310, he gave us clearance to FL370. As we were climbing through FL320, he asked us what our altitude was. We replied FL320. He stated 'I only gave you clearance to FL310.' we stated no, it was FL370. He then cleared us to FL330 and handed us off to next controller.

Title: AIRBUS A319 FLC STARTED CLBING TO A HIGHER ALT UPON CLRNC FROM ARTCC WHO SUBSEQUENTLY QUESTIONED THEIR ALT AND SAID THAT THEY HAD NOT BEEN CLRED TO A HIGHER ALT.
Narrative: LEVEL AT FL290, CTL CLRED US TO FL310. WE INITIATED CLB. AFTER INITIAL CLRNC TO FL310, HE GAVE US CLRNC TO FL370. AS WE WERE CLBING THROUGH FL320, HE ASKED US WHAT OUR ALT WAS. WE REPLIED FL320. HE STATED 'I ONLY GAVE YOU CLRNC TO FL310.' WE STATED NO, IT WAS FL370. HE THEN CLRED US TO FL330 AND HANDED US OFF TO NEXT CTLR.
