Narrative:
Our company puts us at a hotel located 1/2 mi from the preferred runway centerline. Every time an aircraft takes off, your room shakes. Sleep is impossible after 6:00 a.M. Due to late operations, we got in very late. Due to the early and constant 'wake-up calls' I got very little sleep. I spent the day making stupid mistakes. I should have called in fatigued, but I didn't. I have only heard horror stories of the way our company responds to 'fatigue' calls. I didn't want to be one of them.
