Narrative:
Helicopter rides were being conducted. After first flight, I secured helicopter by locking controls in place and left it with engine idling -- rotors disengaged but still turning. Walked 50 yards to office for earplugs and escorted next passenger out to helicopter. In retrospect, I should have stayed at controls and completely shut down machine before leaving cockpit.
