Narrative:
During taxi on taxiway H in toronto, we crossed the hold short line for runway 23. We stopped just prior to a hold short marking which we later learned was the old hold short line for runway 23. Tower called us and advised that we had crossed the hold short line. We never saw the new runway hold short line. Supplemental information from acn 503156: ...which is a bit confusing as it is a long way from the end of the runway. Callback conversation with reporter acn 503157 revealed the following information: reporter stated that the hold line the crew missed was located on taxiway H approximately 1/2 way between the 45 degree turn taxiway H makes and taxiway Q. Their position was short of a second (old) hold line at taxiway Q. Landing traffic was advised of the aircraft's position, relative to the hold line, and chose to land. Reporter stated the tower informed him there have been problems in the past involving that particular hold line.
