Narrative:
During our flight from cvg-evv, the first officer was hand flying the aircraft and determined that he needed to adjust the aileron and rudder trims to correct an aircraft out of trim condition. During our turnaround checks, I saw that the trims were still in the adjusted position, but both trim icons were green, indicating settings within parameters. I was going to be flying the leg from evv-cvg, so I asked the first officer if there had been any control problems with the adjusted trims while making the approach and landing. He said the aircraft handled properly at all times. My concern was that the trims had been adjusted for cruise flight. I elected to leave the trims in the adjusted settings. During taxi check, we confirmed the adjusted settings, confirmed that the icons were green, not white (which would have indicated out of tolerance for takeoff) and 'takeoff confign ok' advisory message was present. Again checked green icons and 'takeoff confign ok' on line-up check. I advanced thrust to about 70% N1, called for first officer to set thrust. As he was setting takeoff thrust, at about 50-60 KIAS, we got triple chime and takeoff confign warning. Aborted takeoff. Briefed flight attendant and passenger, ran QRH, reset ailerons and rudder trim to zero. After complying with a 15 min brake cooling requirement, we departed uneventfully. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said that the trim indication was green throughout the takeoff roll and the subsequent reject, but that the EICAS warning indicated trim out of limits. When out of limits the trim indicator should indicate white. The trim was reset per SOP for the subsequent takeoff. Operation was normal. There was no maintenance write-up made.

Title: CL65 REJECTED TKOF FOR AILERON TRIM WARNING WHEN TRIM SHOWED IN THE SAFE (GREEN) PARAMETER FOR TKOF.
Narrative: DURING OUR FLT FROM CVG-EVV, THE FO WAS HAND FLYING THE ACFT AND DETERMINED THAT HE NEEDED TO ADJUST THE AILERON AND RUDDER TRIMS TO CORRECT AN ACFT OUT OF TRIM CONDITION. DURING OUR TURNAROUND CHKS, I SAW THAT THE TRIMS WERE STILL IN THE ADJUSTED POS, BUT BOTH TRIM ICONS WERE GREEN, INDICATING SETTINGS WITHIN PARAMETERS. I WAS GOING TO BE FLYING THE LEG FROM EVV-CVG, SO I ASKED THE FO IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY CTL PROBS WITH THE ADJUSTED TRIMS WHILE MAKING THE APCH AND LNDG. HE SAID THE ACFT HANDLED PROPERLY AT ALL TIMES. MY CONCERN WAS THAT THE TRIMS HAD BEEN ADJUSTED FOR CRUISE FLT. I ELECTED TO LEAVE THE TRIMS IN THE ADJUSTED SETTINGS. DURING TAXI CHK, WE CONFIRMED THE ADJUSTED SETTINGS, CONFIRMED THAT THE ICONS WERE GREEN, NOT WHITE (WHICH WOULD HAVE INDICATED OUT OF TOLERANCE FOR TKOF) AND 'TKOF CONFIGN OK' ADVISORY MESSAGE WAS PRESENT. AGAIN CHKED GREEN ICONS AND 'TKOF CONFIGN OK' ON LINE-UP CHK. I ADVANCED THRUST TO ABOUT 70% N1, CALLED FOR FO TO SET THRUST. AS HE WAS SETTING TKOF THRUST, AT ABOUT 50-60 KIAS, WE GOT TRIPLE CHIME AND TKOF CONFIGN WARNING. ABORTED TKOF. BRIEFED FLT ATTENDANT AND PAX, RAN QRH, RESET AILERONS AND RUDDER TRIM TO ZERO. AFTER COMPLYING WITH A 15 MIN BRAKE COOLING REQUIREMENT, WE DEPARTED UNEVENTFULLY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID THAT THE TRIM INDICATION WAS GREEN THROUGHOUT THE TKOF ROLL AND THE SUBSEQUENT REJECT, BUT THAT THE EICAS WARNING INDICATED TRIM OUT OF LIMITS. WHEN OUT OF LIMITS THE TRIM INDICATOR SHOULD INDICATE WHITE. THE TRIM WAS RESET PER SOP FOR THE SUBSEQUENT TKOF. OP WAS NORMAL. THERE WAS NO MAINT WRITE-UP MADE.
