Narrative:
On approach to pwk airport, tower advised 'enter right traffic for runway 30, report 2 NM northwest.' I reported 2 NM northwest. Tower advised 'enter right traffic runway 30.' I turned base. As I was turning final, tower advised me to turn base. I stated that I had already turned base and was turning final. Tower stated 'I told you I would call your base, go around.' I went around and landed normally on next pattern. The tower never advised me that they would call my base. They did advise another aircraft in the pattern that they would call his base. There was no conflict with any other aircraft.
