Narrative:
During the second week of jan/01, I was diagnosed with an illness. On jan/xa/01, I began taking a prescription drug. I was unaware that FAA order 7350.4 requires notification of one's supervisor when taking prescription medication. When I heard about this requirement, I was unable to verify it, because our facility does not have a current copy of the above order. On feb/xc/01, the local representative of the national association of air traffic specialists, was able to obtain a copy of order 7350.4. After being shown the pertinent passage, I advised my immediate supervisor that I was taking a prescription drug. If the FAA expects its employees to follow a certain set of rules and regulations, they must ensure that all employees have access to the rules and regulations. We still do not have a copy of FAA order 7350.4 at my facility, the oakland FSS.
