Narrative:
Replaced right engine cowl anti-ice valve. Ran engine at gate to perform leak test. No leaks found, logbook signed off per maintenance manual 75-10-03-2. However, maintenance manual reference 36-00-00-2 requires a high power run-up which was not performed due to conflicting maintenance manual procedures (reference 75-10-01-2). Was informed by supervisor that high power run no loner necessary, per supervisor. High power run performed later that day, with no discrepancies noted.
